If you think this book is only for scientists and researchers, think again. While some of the material is highly (and appropriately) technical, most of the information is designed to be comprehensible to any serious student of wolves. My own copy is now dog-earred and highlighted, with the margins filled with notes. I have yet to find a question this book does not address. For example, someone challenged me with a question that stumped me: "How do scientists know that wolf pups are deaf at birth?" So I went to the index in "Wolves" without much real hope of finding an answer. Guess what! I did! And I will bet that other searching readers can, too! This book is a highly readable and fascinating resource.
