Memories are elusive and hard to capture so that others can relate to events, as well as emotions and thoughts, and experience them vicariously. Candy Peterson has absolutely succeeded at taking her readers with her to the early years of the wolf/moose research on Isle Royale. This book is a rare jewel, written by a spirited woman who reminds us all what it means to be alive.
